FAQs About German Cockroach Pest Control Services in Sydney
Most frequent questions and answers
Treatments start from $249. German cockroach jobs can need a follow-up visit because eggs hatch over several weeks, and we tell you upfront if that applies to your home. We confirm the price in your free quote before any work starts.
German cockroaches breed faster than any other cockroach found in Sydney homes. One egg case carries around 30 to 40 young, and they mature in a couple of months. A treatment that only kills the adults you can see leaves the eggs behind, so the problem returns a few weeks later. That is why we target the places they hide and breed with gel baits, and allow for a follow-up visit where the infestation needs it.
Most German cockroach treatments take around an hour. You should notice far fewer cockroaches within a few days as the bait is carried back to the nest, and the remaining population drops over the following two to three weeks as hatching nymphs feed on it. We tell you upfront if a follow-up visit is likely for your home.
Before we arrive, clear and wipe down kitchen benches, store food away and, if you can, empty the cupboards under the sink and around appliances. Afterwards, avoid washing or spraying the treated areas, keep surfaces clean and food sealed so the bait stays the most attractive thing in the kitchen, and let us know if you still see activity after three weeks.
German cockroaches are small, light brown and have two dark stripes behind the head. You usually see them in the kitchen, often near warm appliances. They breed far faster than the larger Australian cockroaches, so early treatment matters.
